KLANGART - THE EXCITING WORLD OF MUSIC & ELECTRONIC 


From 1991 to 2001 on Osnabrueck has been the venue for a unique and major event entitled KLANGART as an Biennale which is dedicated to the theme of Music and Electronics.
This cultural event is devided into three sections each with its own individual purpose and character.

KLANGART is being organized by the Osnabrueck Music and Electronics Forum in close cooperation with the city and rural district of Osnabrueck and the university.


KLANGART Festival

The first section of the event - KLANGART Festival - presents top live acts, concerts and performances from all branches of electronic music. These will cover a broad spectrum. The majority of the artists are developing new, trend-setting performances and programmes specially for KLANGART.


KLANGART Congress New Music Technology

The KlangArt Congress will elucidate the musicological dimension of todays music technology, its cultural effects and the trends in artistic and technical development.
The scientific talks by expert speakers from Germany and abroad, panel discussions, seminars and workshops will be directed primarily at university lecturers, teachers and students who wish to come to grips with the cultural challenge of music technology.


KLANGART MusiTec

The third section, KLANGART MusiTec, looks to the future of electronic musical instruments by means of an exhibition and workshops.
Experts and interested amateurs alike will be able to experience first-hand and try out digital equipment, electronic keyboard instruments, computer software and peripherals, all within a clearly laid out framework. Classics and novelties, famous and less well-known highlights of music electronics will give the visitor a comprehensive insight into the present and future of electronic musical instruments and music computers.



KlangArt Congress
New Music Technology

The KlangArt Congresses 1991- 2001 on New Music Technologies hav been coordinated by Professor Dr. Bernd Enders of the University of Osnabrueck.
